Project Description:
Installation of low slope roof atop the new RSA Tower. Installed copper shingles and flashing on tower spire. Re-roofed existing historic Battle House Hotel with a combination of low slope, modified bitumen roof systems and shingle roof systems. Replaced two large skylights over the main lobby of the hotel. Installed decorative low slope thermoplastic membrane roofing between the new tower and existing hotel.
Project Highlights:
The owner’s demands for the historical integrity for the Battle House portion of the project, and the desire for the portions of the new tower to look aged added to the intrigue of the project. The RSA Tower is the tallest building in Alabama.
